Whatcom Chorale invites you to share an afternoon of shimmering harmonies and inspiring melody as we present Washington State’s premiere performance of Elaine Hagenberg’s stirring Illuminare. Featuring the insightful voices of contemporary women composers, this concert explores compelling themes of freedom, resilience, perseverance, and fulfillment with artful and innovative settings of poetry by Stuart Kestenbaum; David Rosenthal; Sara Teasdale; and Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
