David Di Fiore


David Di Fiore made his European debut at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris and since then has achieved great success throughout Europe and North America. He celebrated his 20th anniversary as an international performer March 1st 2007, and is presently teaching organ, improvisation and liturgical organ playing at Catholic University in Ruzomberok, Slovak Republic. Because of his achievements internationally, Mr. Di Fiore's biography was recently selected to be included in the 2008 edition of Who's Who in America.

His appearances have included the most important festivals in Hungary (Budapest, Gyor, Eger…), Poland (Oliwa, Drezdenko, Illowa…), Slovak Republic (Kosice-30th International Organ Festival, Organ Days in Trnava, Bratislava-International Festival at the Castle, Piestany…Ars Antiqua Europa, Roznava), Czech Republic (International Organ Festival at Brno). Mr. Di Fiore's tours to Middle Europe have taken him to these countries numerous times. He has performed in festivals in Austria (International Festival at the Schubert Church, Vienna, International Festival in Piber) and in Italy (Festivale di Fano, Festivale de Vasto and the Festivale Internationale di Coro).

In North America his performances have included recitals at the historic Grace Church and St Thomas Church (New York), Trinity Church Great Artists at the Organ, (Reno, Nevada), 2 recitals at the International Festival in Morelia, Mexico (the oldest organ festival in the Western Hemisphere), the International Organ Festival held in Guadalajara and at the Puerto Vallarata Arts Festival.

His recording of French music for Ambassador Records, Les Amoureux de l'Orgue, and his three Slovak recordings, The Grand Organ of the Castle Church in Kremnica, Volumes 1 and 2 have been widely broadcast, and have been received with great enthusiasm by both the public and critics. The third volume, Grand Music for a Grand Castle is devoted to music for organ and brass.

Mr. Di Fiore was a pupil of French organist, Odile Pierre. He has appeared as recitalist, conductor, accompanist, and clinician for the Archdiocese of Seattle, the National Association of Methodist Musicians, has received the award "Distinguished Graduate" from the National Catholic Education Association, has been awarded a diploma from the Mexican Government for his "extraordinary participation" as part of international organ festivals.
